Started in 2007, the PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour is a series of live poker tournaments taking place in China, South Korea, Australia, Philippines and New Zealand.

PokerStars.net has announced details of the next stop on the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. The tournament will take place at the Hyatt Hotel and Casino in the Pilipino capital of Manila from Nov. 10 to 16 and will have a PHP 100,000 buy in (approx. €1,600).
Team PokerStars pro Lee Nelson said of the event, “Manila is a great setting for Season two’s fourth leg of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour – home to the first ever APPT event last year, I look forward to witnessing firsthand the growth poker has seen in the last 12 months. This major international event, coupled with the PokerStars.net Filipino Poker Tour, has positioned the Philippines as one of Asia’s leading poker markets.”
Last year the event attracted 255 players and the organisers are confident of beating this number with the upcoming renewal. Among those playing the event are John Phan, Lee Nelson, Edward Sabat, Jimmy Cha, and Wally Sombrero.
The tour then moves on to the Star City Casino, Sydney Australia between Dec. 2 and 7.
